What Is The Bible?
The Bible is the best-selling book of all time! It has been translated into more languages than any other book in history. It contains 66 separate books that were written by 40 different authors over a period of 1,500 years.
It is God’s word to us.
The Bible provides a factual news account of real events, places and people since the creation of the world up to the years immediately following the life of Jesus Christ. Historians and archaeologists have repeatedly confirmed its authenticity. It also includes rules for living, poetry and songs of worship, wise sayings and proverbs, prophecy and good news – lots of it!
The 66 books have astonishing unity whereby all the authors consistently convey one central message: God, our creator, has provided a way back to Himself even though we cut ourselves off from Him through our self-centred actions and desires. He calls us to know and trust Him.
